Rick and I were back for our third episode of The Unknown.
We discussed current events, along with Michelle MacDonald’s quest to get on the ballot for Minnesota Supreme Court, despite having a suspended law license.
Then, we welcomed our first guest, Megan Fox of PJ Media.
Megan has been covering some high-profile court cases, including the Karen Read trial in Massachusetts.
On the morning of January 29, 2022, John O’Keefe is found dead on the front lawn of his friend’s home after a night of partying.
The initial suspect is Karen Read, his girlfriend.
The theory was that she ran over him with the car after an altercation. She left him to die when she went home.
She may even have confessed, though Megan said the police twisted her words to make it look like she confessed.
O’Keefe was a cop and this investigation was botched, possibly to cover up for his fellow police officers.
Evidence wasn’t properly handled, and witnesses were not properly questioned.
Megan said this may be part of a cover up of fellow police officers who are trying to make Read take the fall for their crimes.
Megan has also been covering the so-called Bachelor paternity case.
Clayton Echard, who had previously participated in The Bachelor, met up with a real estate colleague, Laura Owens.
They spent an evening together, which he said led to oral sex.
Somehow, Owens claimed to have gotten pregnant, and then, the evidence revealed, attempted to coerce a relationship using this pregnancy.
She filed for paternity, and this case went from titillating to dangerous.
The pregnancy was a fraud, and Owens, a serial liar in court, was deemed by a judge to be “uncreditable.”
Worse yet, Echard was not her only victim. Owens has an M.O., Megan said she discovered.
At least four men were confronted with bogus pregnancies, which were used to coerce relationships.
Megan interviewed one of the other victims.
