Once her daughter was back in her care, Katrina had no reason to believe the affair would continue.

Katrina’s daughter was born in December 2016; she and Ray were married on September 15, 2018.
Though they are still technically married, Ray left the home and abandoned the family in January 2019.

Katrina took care of her daughter alone until DSS took her daughter.
She did not even get child support which was still in litigation when her daughter was taken.
Her ex-husband expressed no interest in taking care of their daughter or getting custody until after the DSS case ended, and his ex got sole custody of his other daughter.
