Derrick Smith backs down.
He won't be suing me after all, unless he changes his mind again.
The disc jockey played by Lynne Thigpen in the Warriors once famously said, “Good news boppers; the big alert has been called off. It turns out that the earlier reports were wrong, all wrong.”
That’s how I feel about the latest lawsuit threat against me; this one was made by Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, who twice pled guilty to raping women.
Smith maintains that he was raped by Sean Combs in 1997- that current Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy covered it up, and that he was coerced into pleading guilty both times.
it’s quite a story, which I believed at first. Only, none of it is true.
Smith came with many documents- including an affidavit from a fellow prisoner who claimed to have witnessed Combs raping Smith in 1997- however those documents are either bogus or the product of perjurious statements.

Smith didn’t like a recent post, so he lashed out and threatened to sue.
In the subsequent week, he had a change of heart.
