Last evening, I released a podcast with Sarah Hamilton about her divorce with her ex-husband.
Find that podcast here.
Sarah started with nearly full custody, after she received a temporary restraining order from an incident in which her ex-husband attacked her while holding their child.
She described how the court slowly increased his custody time, all while burying the abuse, and how now her ex-husband wants to get full custody.
In this audio from 2021, the process was well on its way.
The hearing was quite technical and it’s noteworthy that Judge Cagan immediately addressed clarifying how the parenting coordinator, Jennifer McCaskill, got paid.
Later on Judge Cagan would note to Sarah of McCaskill.
“I understand your position, you think Ms. McCaskill is biased.” Judge Cagan stated. “You agreed to a parenting coordinator. It’s plain and simple.”
After Judge Cagan addressed McCaskill’s pay, he then chastised both parties for not hiring a “joint accountant”, according to a previous court order
“The problem is these parties don’t communicate,” Judge Cagan stated continuing, ”I’m telling you this both now; there better be compliance with the other side.”
