Another day of nonsense in OC Courts
Judge, who insists on giving you her pronouns, tells a mother too bad, so sad, live in squalor.
It was a typical day of court in Orange County, California.
On May 10, 2023, the never-ending saga of the divorce between Max Black and Christie Black, took another frustrating turn.
This divorce, which is still going strong nearly ten years after it started, has yet another judge: Judge Adrianne Marshack.
Judge Marshack is very progressive, and she wants everyone to know her pronouns are “she/her”.
She’s so committed to inclusivity that she put she/her next to her name on her Zoom screen during the hearing.
I got a warm/fuzzy feeling knowing that this female judge goes by she/her, but it would have been even nicer if Judge She/her was as committed to solving problems as she was to inclusivity.
Max and Christie have been trying to get divorced since 2014, and if you can believe it, they haven’t even had their trial yet.
The reasons for this are numerous, and I previously spoke with Max’s attorney about this.
Max, who used to go by Dustin, no longer lives in California, or sees his kids much, but that doesn’t mean that this divorce is anywhere near done.
In fact, if this hearing- part of which is below- is any indication, it may never end.
The most immediate problem is that Christie’s home was flooded, causing more than $100,000.
Hopefully, no one reading this has experienced that kind of disaster, but if anyone has, imagine not being able to access your insurance after that kind of flood.
Now, if you’ve been flooded and can’t access your insurance, then you know how Christie feels right now.
She went into court asking Judge She/her to fix the problem.
Christie said that despite no longer living in the home, her ex-husband Max, who used to be Dustin, has been putting himself on the insurance, and this has blocked her from accessing the money she needs to fix her home.
Dustin’s attorney, Angel Camino, argued that Dustin needed to remain on the insurance to protect his interests.
“If she {Christie} doesn’t pay the insurance, he can pay it,” Camino said, meaning his client would be on the insurance and able to pay: to protect his interests.
This seems like a reasonable request, except Dustin, formerly known as Max, has no interest in the home. The order below says as much.
This order was not enough. Then, came the most surreal moment of the hearing. Judge She/Her swore both Christie and Max in. She asked each one question.
“Did you receive any insurance money,” Judge She/her asked.
Both said no.
Someone definitely needs to get the insurance money. I am just spit balling here, but I think it’s the person forced to live in squalor.
Judge She/her had other ideas.
Christie asked to have Max removed from the deed. That seems fair since several years ago an order removed him from the home and any interest in it.
How is he still on the deed? A good question, but a rhetorical one. Judge She/her was not concerned with those details.
Judge She/her denied Christie’s motion. She will have to continue to pay out of pocket for repairs.
The case is not likely to end soon, but at least we know the judge’s pronouns.

LMAO. Did you get insurance money? Family court judges really have zero interest in the law or what is right. They seem to hand out random arbitrary and harsh punishments to anyone who dares come to their court trying to peacefully resolve an issue. Drain the swamp.
