Notorious California Judge Judicially Kidnaps Canadian Woman's Son

The notorious Southern California Judge Tamara Hall Made a Deal with dad in her chambers to take his son forcefully from his mother in Canada.

Marieke “Marika” Randoy is living every mother’s nightmare.

In the summer 2015, she was living in Vancouver, Canada with her son and then husband in an apartment they’d leased. Then, her husband devised a scheme.

He walked into the chambers of Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Tamara Hall; he boldly demanded an ex-parte order granting him temporary sole custody.

Hall granted it to him with no hearing and immediately ordered Marika, living in Canada totally unaware of the circumstances, to appear shortly in her courtroom for a formal hearing.

Judge Hall then started issuing a series of temporary orders which other judges for five years rubber stamped, which kept Marika away from her son.

This is not what Marika's ex-husband says happened.

Besides speaking with Marika I also spoke Nicholas Salick, her ex-husband's attorney.

Salick said everything was done in a judicially appropriate manner.

“It’s all public record,” Salick said.

But when asked if his client was living in California when he went into Hall’s chambers, Salick responded, “As I sit here, I don’t recall.”

Salick said that anything that was unusual was done because of Marika’s purported mental issues.

“She’s clearly is mentally unstable, and the trial judge found that.” Salick said. “The trial judge did not award her any visitation with her son.”

Salick was referring to Judge Lawrence Riff who held a hearing on this issue some years later.

Marika told me in her interview that future judges and law enforcement were all protecting Judge Hall from exposure and doing whatever they needed to make that happen.

Marika could not get her son back despite the intervention of her own powerful allies.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s (DA) Office entered appearances on her behalf into some of her proceedings to argue for her side.

One example was a July 12, 2016, hearing in front of Judge Maren Nelson. Nelson is the presiding judge for family court in Los Angeles County.

Salick, in the same hearing, claimed that the habitual residence was in California. Check out his argument below.

Marika told me that- from 2015-2020- Judge Hall, and subsequent judges, issued a series of temporary orders because temporary orders could not be appealed.

Finally, a few months after filing an appeal, Marika said she received an unexpected call from her ex-husband in the summer 2021. Marika said he told her that if she dropped her appeal he would let her home school their son by Zoom.

She has agreed but says she still plans on filing an appeal unless her custodial rights are restored.
