Is Beerman Group Bribing Judge James Orel: an Interview with Jackie Sample

Jackie shares why she believes the judge in her case is being bribed.

Mett “the Munchkin” Elster, of the Beermann Law Group

Last month, Kent Girard, along with his wife Marissa, and Kent’s two daughters filed an explosive lawsuit which alleged that lawyers who represent his ex-wife, Jane Girard, are running a sophisticated bribery operation.

That law firm is the Beermann Law Group.

The judge overseeing Kent’s child custody case, Judge Renee Goldfarb, quickly recused herself, after she was accused of taking bribes.

Kent is not the only person to square off with Beermann. Jackie Sample has been fighting for her life for nearly two years, as her still husband, Dr. Madison Sample, has used Beermann lawyer Matt Elster to leave her flat broke.

I spoke with Jackie about her experience and whether she believes that Beermann is bribing the judge in her case: Judge James Orel.

Jackie’s case is happening in DuPage County, Illinois, while Kent’s case is in Cook County.

Jackie said she doesn’t have any smoking gun evidence like a wire transfer or a video of a bribe occurring, but for nearly two years, she’s been in court where Judge Orel has shown such extreme bias that this could only be explained through bribery.

Dr. Madison Sample, a successful anesthesiologist, has at different times claimed to make $12,000 and over $20,000 when Jackie said the number is closer to $50,000 per month.

One submission by Dr. Madison Sample

A second submission where the income nearly doubles, but still far less than what Jackie says he makes.

A W2 from during their marriage which shows Dr. Sample’s true income. The Sample’s started the divorce in 2023, while this W2 is from 2020.

Judge Orel has used the reduced number to grant her a small pittance for alimony.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sample moved millions of dollars in cash and investments just prior to the marriage, and Jackie said has allowed him to claim to have no common assets besides their home. Judge Orel has done this despite Jackie submitting financial documents showing the money being moved.

One of the accounts that Dr. Sample moved money from

Dr. Sample has cried pauper and Judge Orel has ordered the home to be sold.

Jackie told me that Dr. Sample is far from a pauper. Along with hundreds of thousands in cash he moved prior to the divorce, the two had millions in cryptocurrency which he also has hidden from Jackie.

Despite providing statements from these accounts, Judge Orel has continued to accept Dr. Sample’s statements that he has no money and needs to sell the home.

When Jackie confronted Judge Orel about these financial shenanigans, Judge Orel suggested both parties may have been lying about their financial situation.

“I have never submitted a false financial document,” Jackie told me.

Judge Orel used the contrived the dispute as an opportunity, the transcript shows.

He appointed Andrew Cores to be a financial expert, only Cores is a divorce attorney.

Jackie told me that Cores immediately told her that he wasn’t a financial expert, but that didn’t stop him from charging. Here is the bill he recently sent.

As reflected on the statement, the balance due and owing is $14,167.15.  Of all payments processed to date, you owe $8,482.32 of the balance due.

The Girard’s lawsuit argues that Beermann often uses its influence to get people like Cores appointed.

I left a voicemail for Mr. Elster, but he did not return it.

Worst of all, Jackie said that before Dr. Sample hired Beermann, she went to that firm for a consultation. At that consultation, she disclosed her legal strategy.

She did not hire Beermann, but this should have precluded that firm from being hired by Dr. Sample. Not so, but Judge Orel has allowed the firm to stay on.

Part of a motion filed on Jackie’s behalf asking for Beermann to recuse based on the conflict I described

Jackie said Judge Orel decided to hold a hearing while she was on the way to the hospital to determine if Beermann should be recused. He ruled against her while she was being treated.
