Joriz Tiberi is my latest guest on the podcast.
She is a “survivor”, she told me, of the Connecticut family court system.
She had several familiar names on her case: namely Jessica Biren Caverly.
Find the podcast with three other Caverly victims here.
“I don’t think much of her other than the fact that she should be ashamed of herself for what she’s done to many of the children out there,” Joriz told me.
Her case shares many similarities with that of Karen Riordan, one of the three Caverly victims.
Both were stay at home moms who started the divorce having physical custody. Both have wealthy exes who took control of the finances and have been paying for the court appointees on each of their case.
Both have been accused of parental alienation and in both cases, the children disclosed sexual abuse.
Both had Judge Jane Grossman, though, Karen has been in front of Judge Gerald Adelman for quite some time.
In fact, Judge Grossman recently reduced Joriz to no custody time. Some of that order is below.
“The father has sole physical and legal custody of the minor child.” The order goes on to state. “All access between the mother and the child is suspended.”
That order was signed by Judge Grossman on March 8, 2022.
Joriz’ purported mental illness is a recurring theme in this case. Below are parts of Jessica Biren Caverly’s report.
With Caverly and others covering up the abuse, the stage was set to disbelieve Joriz and her son, and to say the problem is that Joriz continues to repeat what the system has determined to be bogus claims. Here is more from Caverly’s report.
With the cover-up in place, custody was switched, her custody time dwindled, until she was reduced to supervised visits and now no custody time at all.
Furthermore, Joriz told me that her own attorney recommended the guardian ad litem, Janis Laliberte, and then the GAL recommended the appointment of Jessica Biren Caverly.
“The current evaluation was ordered on the recommendation of the guardian ad litem Janis Laliberte,” Dr. Caverly’s evaluation in the Tiberi case states.
Dr. Robert Horowitz and others were also appointed as the case unfolded.
As I have documented in Orange County and beyond, the child custody system is designed to maximize the number of appointments and for each appointment to maximize their fees.
