There was a research paper I recently read that discussed the use of mental health claims in legal proceedings; a great majority of these claims were invoked in the absence of any formal diagnosis by a licensed professional or any history of prior mental illness, and used solely as a means of discrediting & disparaging the victim. It is a violation of the ADA & federal law to wield the stigma of mental health disorders against a party to a legal dispute: even when a formal diagnosis is made, there is no evidence that most mental health disorders have any negative effect upon parenting ability when properly managed. What these judges get away with is shocking & truly criminal.

Thank you for your courage in reporting on these cases; too many “journalists” these days are barely worthy of the title. “Hero” is often thrown around too freely, but in your case, it is entirely deserved and absolutely appropriate. Bravo, good sir! 🙏

Why don't they always question the mothers mental health. It would not suprise me if the sex worker GF is connected to the legal community..
