With COVID also waning in the US, it was possible that COVID was also on its last breath in US prisons, but not so.
Kevin Tower, who is at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater, Michigan, tells me they just finished a quarantine for omicron.
Currently, we recently finished a long quarantine for Omicron. That was December to the beginning of March.
I had Covid in April 2020.
As you can imagine 160 prisoners in an exclosed polebarn that sleeping area is 50' x 100' it is like getting a bee hive infected, everybody gets it. These are very dangerous places because of that. In the last two years we have been under quarantine five times in my unit. 1 for Influenza, 3 for Covid and 1 for scabies. Lots of fun.

Last week, I interviewed Richard Kilbourn, who is currently residing at the Robert G Cotton Correctional Facility in Jackson, Michigan.
Kilbourn told me they had “zero COVID” for two weeks at his facility.
