Kailin Wang's prosecutor in hot water over doctored video in Trump inauguration prosecution
Jennifer Muyskens may face disbarment for an alleged act of brazen cheating.
Jennifer Muyskens is currently an Assistant US Attorney in the Utah office, and she is one of the prosecutors on Kailin Wang’s case.
Back in 2017, she had a much more high-profile position, for the US Attorney in the DC office.
In that role, she was assigned to prosecute over 200 members of DisruptJ20, a leftist group which was accused of creating a violent protest during then President Trump’s 2017 inauguration. Most of the members did not engage in violence- but rather merely protested- but Muyskens charged all of them with conspiracy.
Her main evidence were several videos provided by Project Veritas (PV). PV had infiltrated meetings the group held before the protests.
According to a complaint filed with the board of professional responsibility in July 2024, Muyskens, along with a police investigator from the DC Metro Police, doctored and edited videos provided by PV to make innocent protester look guilty.

PV’s role in this scandal is disputed. Throughout the complaint, PV is accused of having a reputation for selectively editing video- a charge which is disputed and whose veracity largely depends on one’s political leaning- and they are accused of doctoring videos in this case.
PV disputed that to me. PV said they gave only raw unedited videos, and they called what Muyskens did a “bad Brady violation.” A Brady violation is derived from the US Supreme Court case: Brady V Maryland, which held that prosecutors are required to provide to defense all evidence they have which helps to exonerate- exculpatory- the defendant.
Project Veritas turned over raw video to law enforcement, and then the government did some editing of the files that were turned over to the defense.
This was a bad Brady violation. Veritas had nothing to do with it: we provided all relevant raw video which was then manipulated by the government.
The complaint you sent seems to get it wrong (particularly on page 4). As mentioned, we sent the raw.

The US Department of Justice and the DC Metro Police did not respond to emails for comment.
The US Attorney’s Office for Utah would only confirm that Muyskens works for them, without commenting on the allegations.
We confirm that Jennifer Muyskens works as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Utah. However, we decline to comment on the DC Bar allegations.
In Kailin’s case, Muyskens and her cohorts in the US Attorney’s Office for Utah have charged Kailin with crimes, most of which occurred almost five years before she was charged. They charged her just under the legal statute of limitations.
The charges are frivolous. For instance, Kailin sent a series of emails to the family and friends of the father of their son when he refused to acknowledge his son.
Utah claims this is cyberstalking. Kailin called in a welfare check about a year ago after not hearing from her son for a month.
After failing to acknowledge Kailin’s pregnancy and having no contact with his son for four months, Kristoffer Thygesen- Kailin’s son’s father- went to a court in California to get custody of his son who lived in Utah. He was granted his request ex-parte.
He could do all this because his father is Allan Thygesen, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Docusign, and formerly in the C-Suite of Google.
These federal charges largely mirror state charges Kailin was already facing. It smells of a political prosecution, and now we know that the US Attorney’s Office in Utah brought in an unethical prosecutor to do it.
We need to limit immunity of judges and have court cases against them handled by juries. Justice is dead in this country as it is. Too much power unchecked is always corrupt.
There are ethical people involved in our courts? Pretty sure that hasn't been the case sincs Bush Sr.
