Judge Nicole Zellweger doesn’t always sport horns, but when she does, they are always red.
It seems that in Missouri judges really do fail up.
Late last month, Governor Mike Parson had three awful candidates to choose from to fill a slot in the 21st Judicial District. The 21st is home to St. Louis County which has become known as being one of the most corrupt in the world.
Judge Nicole Zellweger is an associate judge known mostly for forcing a fourteen-year-old girl to go into exclusive custody of her father despite being told that he was molesting the girl.
Judge Zellweger then proceeded to have the mother jailed and those criminal charges are still pending.
When Angela Freiner lost custody of her teen-aged daughter, Dalilah Judy, last year, she sent an email to the presiding judge warning of consequences.
“I demand my custody be put back in place and my daughter be released to me today,” Freiner wrote on March 5. “You're taking her childhood away from her and doing irreversible damage…If she is not returned to me today, there will be consequences for your conduct. You have stepped over the line for any kind of immunity as a judge.”
Dalilah was released to her uncle David Judy’s custody and taken away to Arizona, according to Freiner who hasn’t seen her daughter in more than a year.
“They could have easily went down to Arkansas where Dalilah’s grandfather, Steven Judy, lives,” she said. “He's a level three sex offender. If you look at the registry, you’ll see the description of how he was really abusive to the girl he raped.”
…
Within three days of sending the email to Judge Nicole Zellweger warning her of consequences, Freiner was arrested and jailed for tampering with a judicial officer.
“I was referring to legal actions, not violence,” Freiner said. “I thought I should be able to fix this somehow legally. I had been studying about how judges can lose immunity because they don't always have immunity.”
Judge Zellweger was still one of three finalists to be named a full judge. As the St. Louis Record reported, none of the three candidates were any good.
The candidates nominated by the Commission under the Missouri Non-Partisan Court Plan are John R. Lasater, Jeffrey P. Medler and Nicole S. Zellweger.
They currently are associate circuit judges with the 21st Judicial Circuit and, if selected, would fill the one vacancy left by the appointment of Judge Reneé Hardin-Tammons to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
“All three candidates are awful,” said Attorney Evita Tolu who opposed the nomination last year of Guardian ad Litem Elaine Pudlowski by the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission to replace retiring Judge James Sullivan in the 22nd Circuit Judicial District.
Faced with three awful candidates, Governor Parson- a Republican- chose the one who handed a girl to a child molester- sorry suspected child molester.
The Honorable Nicole S. Zellweger, of Ladue, was appointed as Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit.
Judge Zellweger currently serves as an Associate Circuit Judge in the 21st Judicial Circuit. She holds Bachelors of Arts in sociology and religion, political science, and criminal justice from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts from Yale Divinity School, and a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis. She will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Renee Hardin-Tammons to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
I reached out to Governor Parson’s communications director, Kelli Jones, and I will update if there is a response.
I guess we now know how deep this corruption goes. Zellweger has no business being a judge of anything. She is as corrupt as elaine pudlowski.
I agree.
