I previously interviewed Joriz as well; she is one of at least four victims of Jessica Biren Caverly: a notorious court appointee in Connecticut.
I interviewed the other three- Karen Riordan, Rory Doyle, and Leann Carey- for this podcast.
Joriz was falsely accused of parental alienation; when I interviewed Frank about corruption in Connecticut family courts, he called the misuse of parental alienation “the weapon of choice.”
The entire interview is interesting, but in particular, starting at approximately nine minutes in, Joriz describes how an attorney recommended she get a restraining order.
Then, the attorney asked for $14,000 to represent her in her divorce and the restraining order.
After Joriz paid the bill, the attorney then changed course and recommended Joriz drop the restraining order.
“Did you get the money back,” Frank asked rhetorically.
Of course not.
Also, check out the story I wrote about Cobie Jane, another Connecticut victim, for Frank’s site. Frank then did this follow up.
