Dr. Craig Voorhees has recently been appointed to be a therapist for Melissa Hagemeier’s daughter.
I have covered Melissa’s story extensively. Melissa’s daughter is being forced to split time in Missouri between Melissa and her ex-husband even though her daughter has told police he has molested her.
In February, Melissa daughter was placed temporarily into a psych ward, after experiencing suicidal ideations, Melissa told me.
Now, Dr. Voorhees has weighed on in the allegations; in a letter to Melissa’s ex written on March 2, 2022, Dr. Voorhees said in part.
I was upset that {Melissa} placed her {Melissa’s daughter} into a psychiatric hospital. Just before {Melissa’s daughter} was hospitalized, {Melissa’s daughter} was doing so well in therapy that we stopped sessions until she had a problem. She was not depressed or anxious and she should not have been in a hospital or placed on anti-depressants.
{Melissa’s daughter} is having an excellent adjustment at your home. The Children’s Division caseworker that initially referred {Melissa’s daughter} told me that the abuse allegations against you unsubstantiated and clearly untrue. The worker felt your home was the best placement for {Melissa’s daughter}. In my professional opinion, if her mother continues to make false allegations against or tries to hospitalize {Melissa’s daughter} again, the mother should have supervised visits.
Below is an example of the allegations Melissa’s daughter made to police that Dr. Voorhees, and apparently DSS, now say are unsubstantiated.
Melissa was kept away from her daughter entirely from October 2020 to October 2021; after there was a new court order giving both parents 50/50 custody. That may be threatened.
Unbelievable—The doctor writes to inform the father and the mother is the last to know….shame on them both for making the daughter suffer. I can’t imagine what the mother was going through.
Holy crap, what a crock of pig hooey. If this same action occurred outside of a family situation that male person would be locked away in prison for X years then when he came out he would be identified as a Pedophile and placed on a Sex Offender Registry. For the love of God please explain to me why a father can get away with this with their own children when it is against the law in the "real" world? Why are there these Unethical professionals (people with a license, such as doctors, lawyers, psychologists, etc) getting away with this morbid activity. I do not get it.
