On the Pro America Report: Talking Dr. Shivani Negi
If you haven't heard this story, that's because the media has been too afraid to cover it.
Yesterday, I was on with Ed Martin of the Pro America Report where we talked about Dr. Shivani Negi, the angel of mercy doctor who works at the Alexandria, LA VA Medical Center.
Find the interview here.
I’ve written exclusively about Dr. Negi and I interviewed Floyd Hamilton, whose father is a victim.
In 2006, Dr. Negi decided to remove Floyd’s father’s feeding tube, removed him from the intensive care unit, and even told Floyd, “He’s 84 years old Mr. Hamilton. He’s lived a good life; why don’t you just let him die?”
This is a pattern with Dr. Negi. Floyd got eight affidavits for a lawsuit he filed where other victims described their treatment by Dr. Negi. Remarkably, she continues to be employed by the hospital with the Department of Veteran Affairs issuing this statement to me.
“Dr. Shivani Negi is a valued member of the Alexandria VAMC team. She was thoroughly vetted for her current position and has the full confidence of the facility’s leadership.” The VA stated.
As I noted to Ed last night, this appearance by me was the most coverage this story has received, a remarkable fact considering the explosiveness of the story.
“Why do you think it is?” He asked.
“Number one,” I responded, “It is the threat of a lawsuit. I published this on my Substack. In fact, I originally wrote it in 2020. I won’t say where it was supposed to be published, but the editor told me that when they ran it by their lawyers their lawyers said don’t publish this: there’s too big a threat of a lawsuit.”
Another reason, as Floyd told me, is that this VA has a lot of sway in the area.
While many argue about the biases of the mainstream media when it comes to conservative versus liberal perspective, most don’t realize what the threat of a lawsuit and taking on powerful local forces does to self censor media.
Jeff Deskovic, when he was on the podcast, told me the media with regards to wrongful convictions often wait until someone has been exonerated before covering a wrongful conviction, in another example of this kind of self-censorship.
I recently spoke to Wayne Dolcefino who told me that when he was working for local news he never tried to do a family court story because he knew it would never fly with the lawyers. Since going off on his own, family court stories have become an integral part of his business. One of his family court stories is below.
It’s overused but most of the stories here are those the MSM is too afraid or too lazy to cover.
