Judge April Wood currently serves on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

She is running for the highest court in the state: the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Her campaign states, “My passion to ensure the best outcomes for families and youth in our community and my dedication to our community and desire to make it the best place to live and raise my family are some of the main reasons that I have served as a district court judge for more than eighteen years.”

In June 2017, as a family court judge, she issued a ruling which should raise some eyebrows.
