My pet peeves heading into 2024

Here are the most misused phrases and scenarios. Don't be someone who says this without knowing what they mean.

There is no more overused and misused word in the English language than narcissist.

Festivus was nearly three weeks ago, and this post was likely more suited for that Seinfeld holiday.

The new year is now ten days old, but I still have some complaints.

There are words, phrases, and scenarios which are so overused that they have no meaning.

2023 was the year of the racist, the white supremacist, the communist, and the transphobe.

Anyone you didn’t like was one of those.

Those words were so overused that they were rendered meaningless.

2024, I predict, some other words will overtake those and also be rendered useless as a result.
