Michael Volpe Investigates Update: Dr. Jean Guez Off Controversial Case
She submitted her resignation a week after my article.
Dr. Jean Guez is off a controversial child custody case only a week after she was featured here.
On June 7, 2022, I wrote about Dr. Guez, primarily undercover recordings surreptitiously made by a thirteen year old of some sessions. They are below.
In both recordings, Dr. Guez can be heard threatening, coercing, and manipulating the child into participating in sessions despite this teenager being quite hesitant.
She suggests this boy’s mother may get in trouble if he doesn’t participate.
“I’ll have to tell the judge…there may be punishment for your mom.” Dr. Guez says at one point.
His father had previously been charged with sexual crimes against the boy, though they were eventually dropped.
The reason this boy had for being reticent to reunite with his father was of little concern to Dr. Guez; she was only concerned with forcing a reunion.
With her exploits now exposed, Dr. Guez has asked off the case in a letter dated June 9, 2022, and filed on June 15, 2022.
In the Agreed Order in Suit to Modify Parent Child Relationship I was appointed by this court to do Reunification Therapy to mend the relationship between the {the child} and his father. To that end, I met with each parent and the child individually and then met with {the child} and his father on two occasions. This process was met with remarkable resistance. {The child} refused to enter my office and had many questions as to why he had to do this when he did not want and he was sure this has mother wold have never agreed to such a thing. Rosie {the boy’s mother} stated that she did not agree adn was forced to sign the agreed order. {The boy} reported to me that this was ‘ruining his mental health’.
As it turns out, against my published Office Policy, and in violation of HIPAA, {the boy} surreptitiously recorded his resistance and baiting questions for his mother to send to a reporter who published the sessions on the internet to support the narrative of abuse that this child continues to face. Use of the child in this way is shocking and the need to portray him as a victim of abuse by his father, his peers at school, me and likely anyone or any institution that threatens Rosa’s narrative is extremely damaging to {the boy} and undermines this child’s ability to develop normally or develop an independent position. She wants the child to herself without interference.
Dr. Guez must be a mind reader, along with a psychologist, because she knows exactly why this thirteen year old surreptitiously recorded her. It’s also not a violation of HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, because HIPAA only protects the patient from disclosure by their medical provider. It doesn’t protect the medical provider from their patients, particularly teenagers forced to be in therapy.
Check out Dr. Guez with another teenager, also coercing this girl.
