Lake County judge who gave sole custody to suspected pedophile is back in the news
This time she released an illegal alien suspected of killing and burying a woman.

Over the weekend, another story involving a criminal illegal alien exploded, this one in suburban Chicago.
That’s after Mendoza-Gonzalez was released by a Lake County, Illinois judge, Randie Bruno. Here’s more from Bill Melugin of Fox News.
Immigration authorities in Chicago arrested a Mexican illegal immigrant accused of decapitating a missing Illinois woman and storing her body in a storage container filled with bleach.
Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, 52, of Waukegan, Illinois, was arrested in April and charged with concealing a corpse, abusing a corpse and obstruction of justice, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Immediately after his first court appearance, Lake County Judge Randie Bruno released Mendoza-Gonzalez from custody.
Mendoza-Gonzalez was released under the controversial SAFE-T Act, which was passed in 2021 and makes it easier for those charged with a crime to get bail.
Even so, the heinous nature of Mendoza-Gonzalez’s crime should have kept him locked up said Antioch, Illinois Mayor Scott Gartner.
I was shocked to find out literally the next day that the person that they had arrested for this had been released from prison under the SAFE-T Act less than, detained less, I think, than 48 hours…There's other extenuating circumstances in this case. Not only the type of crime, how long the crime was concealed, the fact that the person that was arrested for this is not a U.S. citizen, and, you know, can maybe [flee] the country.
I investigated Judge Bruno last year; she gave suspected child molester Sebastin Francis sole custody of his daughter.
At one point, his daughter told me in an email she was suicidal.
“Tell my mom i can’t live with my dad anymore because he keeps trapping me and is being insanely controlling and i have no way out and i wanna kill myself (emphasis mine),” she said in an email last year, “im not fucking living like this any longer and im moving out.”
The whole affair started in November 2023, when Judge Bruno accepted the controversial testimony of Dr. David Finn, who accused Sabastin’s ex-wife, Sossamma, of having Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP).
That testimony led to Judge Bruno changing custody temporarily.
Judge Bruno made the order permanent after a custody trial in the Spring of 2024.
Shockingly, the Illinois Supreme Court upheld this decision. Buried deep in the opinion is a letter from another psychologist strongly disagreeing with the MSBP diagnosis.
The teenager remains with the man she says molests her.
Thank you for covering unjust acts and practices by judicial officials such as this that threaten children's safety. They need to all go to jail, or hell.
Horrific that she let a criminal with that level of violence onto the streets instead of detaining him with no bail and a call to ICE is disgusting. The fact that she kept a daughter with a father where the girl is suicidal and can actually state that she’s is distress like that with her father accused of being a sexual predator she should not be able to practice law
Wow thanks for sharing this as disheartening as it’s is to hear
