Flashback: How I Got a Corrupt Minnesota Judge to Finally Rule in 2018
Judge Karen Asphaug appeared to be angling to never rule and keep Sandra Grazzini-Rucki under her thumb for an indefinite period of time
In the summer of 2016, Sandra Grazzini-Rucki was convicted of parental deprivation: six counts all felonies.
The charges stemmed from April 19, 2013, when her two oldest daughters- Samantha and Gianna- ran.
They called her while on the run and told her they were running with or without her.
Why did her two daughters run? Samantha put together an audio recording shortly after disappearing. She said her father is physically and psychologically abusive but the court was forcing her to live with him.
None of this was allowed into the criminal trial. Samantha testified by Skype and was limited to a few questions.
Her mother was not allowed to testify about any abuse: she was forbidden by the judge, Karen Asphaug, from even saying words like restraining order.
Judge Asphaug’s bias was no surprise.
In 2019, David Rucki screamed uncontrollably while swearing in the presence of two and three year olds.
David Rucki was charged with disorderly conduct and the case came in front of the same Judge Karen Asphaug in early 2010.
She promptly dismissed the case for a lack of probable cause on the eve of trial, though there were approximately six witnesses to his tirade.
