Crisis point in Utah, or, maybe, just one long party
Cops have been called out again to the Barnett household.
The children that the idiot Utah junior judge, Catherine Conklin, is treating like guinea pigs may have hit a crisis point.
The idiot junior judge, Catherine Conklin, is presiding over the Barnett case in Weber County, Utah. Some of her idiocy is below.
Since September 13, 2022, the idiot junior judge has forced three of the four Barnett children to live with their abusive father because she thinks their mother and oldest brother are alienating them. Below is dad verbally abusing the children.
None of that swayed the idiot junior judge.
“There have been allegations of abuse- both of Ms. Barnett and the children in this case- they have been investigated thoroughly by DCFS and by law enforcement.” the idiot junior judge stated in a September 2022 hearing, “There is nothing that supports the fact that they are in danger with him. I think Ms. Mateus is right; in the best-case scenario, you have sat by and allowed your sixteen-year-old to become the Don Quixote of the family.”
So, since September 13, 2022, she has forced three of the four children to live with their abusive father, James Barnett.
He has refused to comment while his attorney, Sydney Mateus, previously issued a veiled threat to have me arrested after one too many questions.
“Please see Utah Code Ann. § 76-9-201. Accordingly, I reiterate my request that you refrain from contacting me and direct all communication to our executive director.” Ms. Mateus told me in October.
The code refers to a section of Utah law on cyberstalking.
I was so offended that I stopped payment on the Christmas card I got her.
Since the relationship is sour, neither Mr. Barnett nor his lawyer responded to requests for comment for this story.
They probably like to have the situation speak for itself as things have gone swimmingly since September 13th, as long as you ignore that the kids hate it there, there are constant arguments, and the cops keep getting called.
I have previously discussed one incident from October 4, 2022.
There are at least two more times when police were called to the Barnett residence since September 13.
One occurred on September 15, 2022; let’s call it a welcome home party.
Hey, it’s not a party until the children accuse their dad of physical abuse.
Something tells me the latest party may have gotten a little out of control.
Weber County Sheriff’s officers were also dispatched on November 18, 2022, to the Barnett residence. So far, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office has not released the police report.
They did tell me this, “Regarding case #22WC42180 11/18/22 This is an open/active case. It hasn’t even been fully processed through the system. Please request this case again after ten days and we can see if it becomes available.”
They explained further, “This case is currently active and has been assigned to a Detective. It is not yet available for release.”
If a detective has been assigned, that was a legendary party.
I think it’s pretty obvious that things are going great at the Barnett household. He’s had the kids about one hundred days, and the cops have only been called out three times.
There’s only one active investigation.
I think that’s why at the previous hearing our wonderful idiot junior judge- a commissioner is a junior judge- said this.
“I do think we are moving in a positive direction,” the idiot junior judge stated in a November hearing, “in terms of they’re getting the idea that it’s ok to have a relationship with both parents.”
Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. If the cops have to be called out a few times to force a relationship between an abusive father and his captive children, it’s probably worth it.
