I would act surprised but I am not. As long as clients keep paying, attorneys keep billing. FYI..attorneys don't care about clients, only check books.

Many attorneys are like this but not all.

True, but in Joanna Rivera case, those attorneys saw a big payday at the expense of her and her children. Those attorneys are modern day racketeers.

Off the top off my head...

In August 2022, I went to Las Vegas to help Jo and her 16-year-old daughter. I did it because she was desperate, I cared, and Jo was THE mom who supported me 100% as a protective DAD🙏 ...something Wendi Miller🕊...did for me. (It’s rare for good dads to get ANY help protecting children once they’re “in the system.”

When the three of us had to leave LV (and we had to leave), I tried to connect Jo with a lawyer in LA with whom she had a retainer. (At the time, I didn’t know he was her APPELLATE lawyer...I just knew she was in danger & had money with a CA lawyer.)

When I couldn’t reach the appellate lawyer, I brought her to my home community, University Hills.

Uhills is the faculty housing enclave where I’ve lived for 15 years. It’s also where Congresswoman Katie Porter, State Senator Dave Min, and over half the tenured UC Irvine professors live (in homes subsidized by California taxpayers).

Instead of getting help, Jo was separated from her daughter--and hasn’t seen her since.

Instead of sending the terrified 16-year-old girl to a safe & friendly home in University Hills, UC Irvine Police sent her to “Orangewood”... the notorious place where Judge Flynn III threatened to send my children.

UC IRVINE POLICE sent Jo’s daughter to Orangewood; that’s how mom & daughter were separated. UC Irvine royally screwed up (yet again). And Jo’s daughter had been with her abusive dad ever since.

Witnesses include UCI Police, OC Sheriffs, one of my best & most trusted friends, Jo’s cousin from the east coast, OC DV victim Julie Holburn--and MY CHILDREN. And me (with receipts).

Why is there a WAR ON MOMS in Orange County?

Why...when VAWA all-star Katie Porter is here...and Dave Min’s wife runs the UCI DV Clinic? Whose side are they on? Not the children’s side...except maybe their own.

I intend to discuss Jo’s case at great length and in excruciating detail. I will do it until the people who have the sacred responsibility of representing our children START doing the jobs they’re PAID to do.

I think Dave Min needs to FIX the OC Family Court system BEFORE running for Congress. If he can’t/won’t do that, why should anyone trust him or vote for him? He’s not even trying.

Its a war on the poorer less advantaged party

I agree though, as I have previously said, sometimes it is the wealthy party which gets targeted, creating wealth transfer. Like in Bill Sardi's case, https://theeprovocateur.blogspot.com/2021/10/california-small-business-owner-says.html

Yes, it's really the system and the people who game is are the most rotten imbeciles. I find Alec Baldwin's account highly accurate.

“Divorce litigation is a unique phenomenon in our culture. When someone is sick, our society usually offers some means of care. Often that care extends to their families as well. The sick individual reaches out to professionals who arrive with their skills and training at the ready, prepared to solve the problem. When illness afflicts a marriage, however, the professionals who arrive on the scene often are there to prolong the bleeding, not to stop it. To be pulled into the American family law system in most states is like being tied to the back of a pickup truck and dragged down a gravel road late at night. No one can hear your cries and complaints, and it is not over until they say it is over.”

A Promise to Ourselves

I read his book. He understands the system very well, however, I'm not so certain he wasn't the abuser in the relationship with Basinger.
