I was back on to focus on Jeff Medler.
Medler is currently a judge in the 21st Circuit in Missouri. That’s the area which covers St. Louis County.
That circuit chooses its judges by having nominees submit their qualifications to a committee which chooses three candidates.
The Governor- currently Republican Mike Parson- then chooses one.
That asinine method is how we got Judge Jeff Medler.
Nate is very familiar with Judge Medler, who was the guardian ad litem on his case.
It was a wide-ranging discussion about Medler’s role in his case, and Judge Medler’s place in the widespread corruption in the area.
Nate played a few tapes of Medler, including one in which he pressures him to settle.
Medler was pressuring Nate to settle because an open case might have cost him his judgeship, Nate told me.
