Appearance Alert: on Northwest Liberty News
James White and I talk about several of my most recent investigations.
I was back on with James White on Northwest Liberty News.
Jim and I talked about some of my recent investigations.
Brandee Ritsema takes on SKLD
First, Jim and I talked about battle Brandee Ritsema has with the nursing home SKLD in Wyoming, Michigan about the care of her mom.
For years, she has found all sorts of problems at the nursing home, including ants, poor staffing, and even leaving her mom in the same clothes for days.
Since last fall, things have escalated, as SKLD has called in the Wyoming, Michigan, police to conduct several frivolous investigations.
Jared and Megan Bass accused of abusing their toddler in North Carolina
Next, Jim and I talked about my recent interview with Jared and Megan Bass in July.
In October 2021, they gave birth to a daughter.
Within ten weeks, she had three unexplained bruises and broken bones. Their county Child Protective Services- Wilkes County- stepped in and determined it was child abuse.
Their daughter was taken, and she continues to be raised by family.
Jared and Megan continue to insist they have been falsely accused. They believe their daughter suffers from brittle bone disease, which has been falsely diagnosed as child abuse.
Hospitals did test for the most common forms of brittle bone disease, but they have refused to test for less common forms.
In the meantime, Jared and Megan are stuck in a neverending loop. The CPS case continues, apparently without end. Their daughter won’t return, but their rights are not terminated. They are paying child support, while they deal with the CPS bureaucracy.
Here is a therapist telling Jared that he must be diagnosed with something, per CPS protocol.
Their full interview is below.
Jared and Megan also recently did this interview, and they have started a Go Fund Me.
Abusive mom cites parental alienation when confronted with her abuse in suburban Chicago
Next, we talked about Gwen and Grace, two suburban Chicago teenager twins, who are desperate not to be forced into a relationship with their mom.
They say she abuses them, sexually.
Their mom, Jane Girard, fired back, claiming that the girls were being alienated by their dad.
Then, the usual playbook followed: several people were appointed to the case to squeeze as much money from the family as possible.
Gwen and Grace sum it up.
On the show, I compared that video to the last battle in 8 Mile.
In it, Eminem’s character Rabbit predicts what Papa Doc will say about him when it’s his turn to rap.
In much the same way, Gwen and Grace predict that once the court appointed professionals have had their chance to make money, “Just when we think things can’t get any worse, they will rip us from our safe home and send us to a reunification camp which will put us through even more trauma.”
In 8 Mile, Papa Doc was left speechless when Rabbit predicted what he’d say, and I expect the court to act with equal bewilderment now that two teenagers have predicted its next move.
Stay safe Gwen and Grace: the end is near.
